"Digital twin" has been demoed to death: a glossy 3D model that spins on a trade-show screen and is never opened again. For operations teams, that is the failure mode to avoid. A twin earns its place only when it answers a daily question faster than the alternative. The question is almost always the same: where is this, and what is happening there?
From a list of names to spatial context
Most monitoring tools give you a list: device names, statuses, last-seen times. A list is fine until you have hundreds of assets across dozens of sites and a new operator who has never walked the floor. Then "Pump 14B is in alarm" means nothing without a map in your head. A twin puts that alarm in its real place.
- Live markers on a real model. Upload a model of the site and place each device exactly where it physically sits.
- Status you read at a glance. Marker colours track real-time state — online, alert, offline — with sparkline mini-charts of recent readings on the marker itself.

The twin pays off in the unglamorous moments: onboarding someone new, triage during an incident when you need to know which asset and where, and shift handover where the next operator inherits the same picture.
